Texas Southmost College alum and Harlingen native Sarah Navarrete graduated from TSC’s Medical Laboratory Technology program in 2016 and is the lead technician at Mid-Valley Pathology PLLC in Weslaco.
For Sarah Navarrete, going back to college meant more than just getting an education, it meant being able to become independent and support her children.

Every year hundreds of migrants die in the Rio Grande Valley area after trekking over 1,000 miles through Central America and Mexico. Many are never found and those the bodies can be difficult to identify.
