Texas Southmost College President Dr. Lily F. Tercero and the Spring 2016 GEM Award recipients during the Convocation Luncheon at the Jacob Brown Memorial Auditorium.
Texas Southmost College President Dr. Lily F. Tercero presented the Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Awards on Jan. 11 at the 2016 Spring Convocation faculty and staff luncheon. The Spring 2016 GEM recipients were: Architecture Instructor Dr. Murad Abusalim, Division of Humanities Administrative Assistant Daniela Canales, STEM Instruction Assistant July Enriquez, Building Maintenance Worker David Ramos and Director of Admissions and Records Alex Salinas. "It felt great to know that all the hard work we put in doesn't go unnoticed," said Salinas. "I am very fortunate to have a great team that feels the same way I do, which is helping our students succeed." "I am appreciative and proud that my hard work and dedication is acknowledged and noticed," added Canales.
