Natural Sciences |
Welcome to the Natural Sciences Department at Texas Southmost College! Dedicated faculty and staff are ready to serve and prepare you for your future goals. Our mission is guided by our commitment to provide high-quality instruction and learning opportunities for all of our students. The department offers an Associate of Science degree in the Sciences that covers an array of disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics. Graduates from this program will be able to pursue four-year degrees that will allow for further opportunities in the scientific community, including health care and education. Students of the Sciences Program enroll in proactive laboratories, such as Anatomy and Physiology and Microbiology, which involve hands-on instruction and practical techniques that will be useful in science-based careers. Natural science courses also lay a foundation required by students in both science and non-science programs. These courses are essential, especially for those programs in the medical disciplines, such as Nursing, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Emergency Medical Science. The Sciences Program is dedicated to provide innovative and applied knowledge to our students. |
