With a 6,739 student head count for the spring 2018 semester that began on Jan. 16, Texas Southmost College (TSC) shattered all previous enrollment records set since the college re-opened in fall 2013 to establish a new all-time record.

The Texas Southmost College Scorpions co-ed flag football team ran over the competition on Oct. 14, 2017 at the UTRGV-Edinburg Wellness & Recreation Sports Complex to claim the 2017 Valley Bowl championship title.

Texas Southmost College (TSC) will host the Brownsville premiere of the award-winning film "The Whole," as well as several short film screenings on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at the TSC Arts Center, located at 90 Taylor Ave. in Brownsville. The movie premiere will begin at 8 p.m.
"The Whole" was written and directed by Rodrigo Moreno, and produced by Pink Ape Media, a Brownsville advertising agency. The movie was filmed on the TSC Campus in Brownsville, and around Cameron County.
