TSC celebrates first associate degree dual enrollment grads
Texas Southmost College Dual Enrollment graduate Emmanuel Sanchez earned his Associate of Arts in General Studies at the same time he earned his high school diploma from Rivera Early College High School.Texas Southmost College Dual Enrollment graduate Emmanuel Sanchez earned his Associate of Arts in General Studies at the same time he earned his high school diploma from Rivera Early College High School.

More than 30 students from Brownsville Independent School District (BISD), Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District and Jubilee in Brownsville were the first dual enrollment students to earn an associate degree from Texas Southmost College since it reopened in 2013.

Local small businesses benefit from training offered by TSC
Texas Small Business training grants help local businesses.During a their first year of training in 2019, employees of WYCOTAX, a tax and payroll/book keeping services company in Harlingen and Brownsville, take part in soft skills and technical training provided by Texas Southmost College through the Skills for Small Business grants.

It’s been one year since Texas Southmost College partnered with the Texas Workforce Commission and Workforce Solutions Cameron to provide small business training through Skills for Small Business grants.

Brownsville Nite Lions donated $3,000 for student Scholarships during a recent meeeting of the TSC Board of Trustees.The Brownsville Nite Lions donated $3,000 for student scholarships during a recent meeting of the TSC Board of Trustees.

Texas Southmost College students pursuing a certificate will have greater opportunities of obtaining a student scholarship thanks to a recent donation by the Brownsville Nite Lions.

SpawGlass presents donation for TSC scholarships
SpawGlass donated $5,000 for student Scholarships during the May meeeting of the TSC Board of Trustees.SpawGlass Contractors, Inc. donated $5,000 for student scholarships during the May meeting of the TSC Board of Trustees.

During a recent meeting of the Texas Southmost College Board of Trustees, SpawGlass Contractors, Inc. presented the board and TSC President Jesús Roberto Rodríguez with a $5,000 donation for student scholarships.

Local family gets a new beginning at TSC
Maria and her husband Pablo Osorio are students in TSC's Paralegal Studies program.Maria and her husband Pablo Osorio are students in Texas Southmost College's Paralegal program. Their sons Emmanuel Osorio and Rafael de los Santos also attend TSC.

For the Osorio family, Texas Southmost College is the family’s home away from home with mother, father and two sons attending the college at the same time.
